Where is Amber Found?

Throughout history Amber has been found all over the world some in deposits as far apart as China, Burma, Russia and Mexico. Today they say the very finest amber comes from the Baltic regions of Poland.

That said, pieces of amber, usually quite small but occasionally of very large size, can still be discovered on the east coast of England, having probably been washed up from deposits under the North Sea. Cromer is the best-known locality, but it occurs also on other parts of the Norfolk coast, such as Great Yarmouth and The Amber Lady's home town of Lowestoft as well as Southwold, and Felixstowe in Suffolk.

The Amber Lady lives in hope of discovering a large piece of amber the next time she walks along the beach. If one is lucky enough!!! If not it could be you!!!
